Whiskey Sour Cocktail – a perfect party mixer! 

Whiskey Sour Cocktail is an excellent option to entertain your guests or just to chill out on a warm day. It looks impressive and tastes amazing! It is both sweet and sour. Both these flavours you can adjust to suit your liking. Also, you decide how strong you want it. 

There are lots of tips on how to prepare a really good cocktail. You can get some instructions and inspiration here or here. However, the 5-element one below seems to be the most delicious. The recipe below is with the addition of cayenne for perfect balance of 5 Elements and to add an extra zinc on your palate. Test it yourself!

Preparation

The amounts below make roughly 2 cocktails. 1 part of the liquid may be equal to 25ml or 50ml – it’s up to you. Of course, in each case your drink will be bigger or smaller. Also, you may adjust the amounts for the perfect balance of flavours. 

The procedure

In a blender cup add the following: 

  • Bitter 2 parts of whiskey, 
  • Sweet 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 egg white, 
  • Pungent a tiny pinch of extra hot cayenne pepper, 
  • Salty a small pinch of fine sea salt, 
  • Sour 1/2 part of freshly squeezed lemon juce. 

Blend the ingredients until the mixture gets foamy and white and the sugar dissolves. 

In drinking glasses arrange ice cubes and add your whiskey sour. The mixture will set and the foam will form on the top. Garnish with lemon slices. 

Tip

While preparing the drink have a little taste. If you feel there is not enough sugar or lemon feel free to add some more to suit your taste.
