Kiwi Smash Cocktail or Mocktail – good for you good for a party!

It is middle of winter in some places in the world and kiwis are not really in season there. However, it is nice to break the rules sometimes and have something completely different. Kiwi Smash Cocktail or Mocktail will definitely add some vitamin, vibrance and colour to your day. Also, it will be a great option for a party. Even if not now, save it for your summer collection. I came across the recipe here, added 5 Elements and a little bit of modification and the result was just amazing! Take a look.

Preparation

You will need some simple syrup for the Kiwi Punch Cocktail or Mocktail. To make it, add 1 cup of sugar to a cup of water and heat it up stirring occasionally until all the sugar dissolves. The mixture does not need to boil. This amount of simple syrup will serve you 8-10 cocktails.

The procedure

In a blender cup add the following ingredients:

  • Sour 1 peeled kiwi fruit; blend it and transfer to a shaker (or carry on with the blender cup), juice of 1/2 lime (depending on the kind of limes you might want to add some more of the juice),
  • Bitter 50ml of Zobrowka Bison Grass Vodka; for the mocktail option skip the vodka and add a tiny pinch of turmeric powder or, even better, a slice of fresh turmeric root,
  • Sweet 25ml simple syrup,
  • Pungent a tiny pinch of chilli cayenne,
  • Salty 25ml sparkling water.

Shake everything well and serve immediately garnished with a slice of kiwi or lime.

As it is winter time, you do not need to add ice cubes. It is enough that vodka, simple syrup and sparkling water are chilled in the fridge. However, if you prefer, feel free to add some.
